Workforce.ai Platform Guide

Welcome to Workforce.ai, providing instant insights to the dynamics and historical trends making up the professional workforce.

This guide will get you started using the platform and answer some common questions.

Analysis Modes

In-Depth

Use this mode to dive deep into insights for a specific company, or group of companies. It's possible to "combine" multiple companies in this view to see joint analyses for multiple companies at once. To do this, check the "Combine multiple companies..." checkbox and select all the companies you want to combine.

Head-to-Head

This mode gives you a comprehensive view of how multiple companies compare across key workforce indicators. Select up to companies to compare their workforce breakdown, tenure, where they hire from and lose people to, and more.

Working with Companies and Company Lists

Use the "pencil" icon to modify the company list, adding and removing companies as desired. At any time you can save your current company list and give it a name - this will make it available to anyone that has access to your account.

To load a company list, press the Load button and you can pick from any of your account's lists or use any of the built-in lists provided by Workforce.ai

Filtering Workforce Data

All charts can be filtered to only contain data for selected functions and/or job seniority levels. Use the page-level filters and all charts will be updated. Filters are persisted until you change them.

Interactive Charts

All charts are interactive - you can click on any data point to drill into the people behind that data point. Many charts also have other display options, such as showing pct or numbers, or can be broken down by various dimensions.

Finding and Downloading People Data

To find people data, click a point on a chart to get started. This will open a panel showing all of the people that make up that data point. From here, you can click on any individual to see their details, or you can Download the full list of people (up to your credit limit).

Downloading People Data

When downloading people data, you have two options of which data to receive. The first is a "latest jobs" CSV that shows each persons' last 3 jobs and key details. The second is a "full CSV" option which will provide all of the fields we currently have on each person. The former is generally easier to work with, while the latter is best when analyzing this data with code.

Sharing Insights with Others

Click the Share button in the upper-right to share your insights with others. There are two general options here.

Public Sharing

This option will create a public link that can be shared with anyone -- once clicking the link, the user will see what you see - including companies, mode selection, filters, chart options, etc. A user is not required to be logged in to see this view. Once created, these views are static - a snapshot in time.

Invitations

Alternatively, you can invite users to your Workforce account. This will let you share account-scoped resources such as company lists and combine usage of People data for free and paid tiers. When inviting a user, they will get an email with a link they can use to create their password and join your account.
