People Data

At our core, Live Data tracks the movement of people across their professional journey. Our primary technique to maintain current state on nearly 100M professionals is via web searches - finding publicly available signals that we then correlate and enrich to provide an accurate, up-to-date picture of an individual. By aggregating this data in unique ways, we also provide insights on top of this data.

All users have access to our Free Edition, which includes the ability to search through our database and download the details of up to 500 people per month.

Paid Data Plans

Tiered monthly plans are available for purchase via our website that allow you to download up to 50,000 records per month via self-service checkout

Finding People

There are multiple ways to find people to download in the platform:

  1. Using the People API
  2. Using the People Search grid in the UI provides basic searching
  3. Using the People Explore filters in the UI provides detailed searching
  4. Interacting with Insights graphics let's you go from insight -> People quickly

Using the People Search grid

Navigate to the People -> Search tab in the UI.

For simple filters, you can simply type into the filter box and a "fuzzy" match will be performed.

For more specific filters, click the filter icon and the various filter types will be shown. These filters allow you specify details such as "less than" or "after" or "not blank", for example.

When filtering on a field in the Previous Job category, the filter applies to all previous jobs. The grid will still only show the most recent jobs, but the filter may match to any historical job.

Using the People Explore filters

Navigate to the People -> Explore tab in the UI.

Add filters and filter group with boolean operators or and and to create complex filter sets to narrow down your search.

Filter Groups and Historical Jobs

Any filter that is part of historical jobs (i.e. jobs.) must be placed in a filter group. Any filter group that contains such a field will contain only jobs. fields, and they will always be anded together. This allows for finding people with specific job characteristics, such as "engineer at amazon".

Interacting with Insights charts

Most charts available on the Insights pages are interactive - clicking on a data point will bring up a menu that allows you to dig into the people that make up that specific data point.
